I wonder if she knew...?

We live in a world full of chaos. It's kind of scary out there right now with everyone screaming and yelling at each other about almost anything. It's hard to watch the news most days because I can't stomach the hatred that is so easily spoken without thought. It's not a secret that I'm against abortion, but it has nothing to do with a political party or my religion. It has everything to do with my LIFE.
My birth mom was 16 when she got pregnant, 17 when she gave birth and gave me up for adoption. She was the youngest of a single, struggling mom who didn't have the means of taking take of her own, let alone another one. I could have and should have by today's progressive movement, never been born. But instead, I was adopted into a low/middle class family where I grew to appreciate hard work and value people who are there for you. I didn't grow up with lots of money, but we had enough. Life wasn't perfect, but no one's life is perfect.
The struggles we face through life don't make us less valuable... they make us MORE valuable! God takes our struggles and uses them to teach others. We are the testimony to His grace and mercy. I was a victim of domestic violence and rape 30 years ago, and today I am an advocate to those that are victims of those same crimes. Every time I see a victim struggling to grasp some relief or lost in that feeling of hopelessness, I share part of my story. Almost always, I can see their muscles relax. They just need to know that it's possible to SOMEDAY live a normal life, to someday be on the other side... to someday not live in fear. I love sharing that moment with them! To have them reach out and say, "if you can do it, I can do it." It's my reminder that God has a purpose for all of us - no matter what we've gone through. He can use ANYTHING and anyone, even me, for His glory and goodness.
So the haters can go on hating and use whatever excuse they want to, but God has a purpose for EVERY life. Every life has value. Every life is worth living. We don't know the plan He has for us when He creates that little life in the womb... It's not up to us, it's up to Him.
Luke 12:7 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. (NKJ)
